- Villa Wilen is situated in Switzerland, in the very middle of the country. Just a few kilometers from the geographical center offering stunning views of Lake Sarnen and the surrounding Alps. Due to its central location, most of Switzerland’s tourist highlights can be visited within an hour. Perfectly located between the two touristic highlights Lucerne and Interlaken.

- Is Villa Wilen a private rental?
- Villa Wilen is a private property. The owner rents part of the house to anyone. The attic (ideal for 2 people) is completely private, the middle floor is shared with the owners (high privacy). Maximum occupancy: 5 adults.
- Can Villa Wilen be reached by public transport?
- However, we recommend travelling by car for various reasons. On the one hand, travelling by public transport is a bit complicated (via bus or taxi from Sarnen train station, a steep - but beautiful - walk to the villa). In addition, you can also visit the insider tips by car. We would be happy to advise you.
- Do the owners have pets in the house?
- Yes. A cat lives in the hosts' rooms. As long as the doors in the attic are closed, people who are allergic to cat hair are safe. The cat is excluded from the shared middle floor if necessary.

- Our cancellation policy varies based on the booking platform. Please refer to the terms during booking or contact us for details. Private bookings made via the website can be cancelled within 48 hours. Up to 1 week before arrival, the refund is 50%. In certain cases - for example, if the cancelled days are rebooked - a voluntary refund is made.
- Is there a minimum stay requirement?
- Yes, there is usually a minimum stay requirement, which may vary based on the season. Assume 1 day during off season (November to March, exclusive Christmas/New Year), 2 days during the high seasons April-June and September-October.

- Due to the Villa’s high standards large pets are not allowed, smaller pets must be requested.
- Is Villa Wilen child-friendly?
- A difficult question.
The house is generally not suitable for children aged 1 to 8 years. High stairs without handrails, sensitive walls, slippery parquet floors and many windows as well as valuable interiors and 2 ponds and the lake require either very disciplined children or increased supervision. Nursery and high chairs are available. We leave the decision up to the parents.

- Villa Wilen is centrally located, with top Swiss attractions within an hour’s drive, including:
- Town of Sarnen (5 Minutes)
- Lucerne (20 minutes)
- Interlaken (45 minutes), Lauterbrunnen (60 Minutes), Grindelwald (70 minutes)
- Mount Pilatus and Titlis (ground stations 15 and 35 minutes)

- Several Supermarkets in Sarnen (5 Minutes), we suggest Coop
- There is local bakery in Wilen, offering a basic assortment of daily goods (500 meters)
- On Sundays Supermarkets in the area closed. We then suggest to shop in the Sarnen gaz station (Socar), the Avec shop at Sarnen train station or the Pronto Shop in Alpnach (10 minutes)
- What are the check-in and check-out times?

- Can I request an early check-in or late check-out?
- Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability. Please consider that we have a high occupancy rate with mostly checkout and checkin the same day. 3 to 4 hours of cleaning are required, which leaves us with little flexibility unless the checking-out guests leave early.
- Is smoking allowed?
- No, Villa Wilen is a smoke-free property. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. Smoking in the lounge is also not allowed.
- Can I host events at Villa Wilen?
- Villa Wilen is primarily for accommodation purposes. Small gatherings may be permitted with prior approval.
